I have been released from the chains of higher education for a brief reprieve.

And I definitely failed that math final, but that's 2026 Jessie's problem.

With Pride month upon us once more - joy! celebration! queer! - I was thinking... mutants should have a pride flag as well. And shockingly that's a market Etsy does not have covered. Not that I would want to sell it, but I did think maybe someone more creative than me would have already thought to do so. Apparently not.

ANYWAY. Mutant pride flag. As I am but one flavor of mutant among many, I would absolutely love help from anyone else who might be interested in participating. So... any takers?

I come bearing cookies that I helped my grandmother bake - and by help I mean I handed her things and found the measuring cups because Grampy rearranged the kitchen behind her back. Someday she might trust me to mix something.

Anyway, left a giant plate of cookies in the kitchen and a list of ingredients to check if there's something you're allergic to or just can't eat. Imma nap.

Is this post going through? God I hope so. So a bunch of us decided to go for a hike in the woods behind the mansion, I don't even think we're that far away, but something. Weird. Is happening. We've noticed someone kind of following us, and they aren't talking, and all the animals are silent, and that's usually a sign of something dangerous right? And um.

Have you guys ever heard of Slenderman?

Terry told me to introduce myself here, so here I am! My name's Jessie (just Jessie, not Jessica, I got into a shouting match with a teacher over this once. "No one name's their child just Jessie, Ms. Drake" well it's MY name and I chose it and it's NOT JESSICA and also who still calls their students Ms./Mr.? It was a small town public high school in the late 2010s, not a boarding school in the fifties), and I guess I live here now? I'm still not sure how that happened but man I'm going to save a FORTUNE on campus housing.

Hmn, what else... oh I'm a mutant, but I think everyone here is so that's not really newsworthy. I can't really do anything too flashy, I just change things on my body - like hair color, eye color, little things like that. So if you see me and suddenly my hair is the same color as yours, I swear I'm not making fun of you or anything, sometimes I just see something and think OH PRETTY and then my body decides it also wants to have that thing. I also have a bunch of tattoos that I can kind of move around, so if I want to just have one tattoo on my arm for a day or something, I can. I can't give myself new tattoos though which is a shame because that would be another small fortune I could save (I make up for that with never having to buy hair dye though).

I'm so bad at introductions idk, ask me questions! I know there are a lot of people here, I want to meet EVERYONE.
